Wagering Game Contribution: How Games Count Towards a Bonus
Quick Summary
- Game contribution is the share of each bet that counts towards a bonus's wagering requirement.
- Slots often count at a high rate; table, live and some other games often count less or not at all.
- A low contribution can multiply how much you need to stake to clear a bonus.
- Mostplay's wagering rules were not confirmed; read your promotion's terms.

You have claimed a bonus, read the wagering requirement and worked out what you need to stake. Then you play an hour of blackjack and discover your progress bar has barely moved. The culprit is game contribution, one of the most overlooked lines in any bonus terms. It decides how much of each bet actually counts towards clearing a bonus, and it can turn a reasonable offer into a long slog. This article explains how game contribution generally works, with simple Taka examples.
What game contribution means
The short answer: it is a percentage applied to each bet when counting it towards wagering. If slots contribute 100%, a ৳100 spin counts as ৳100 of wagering. If a table game contributes 10%, a ৳100 hand counts as only ৳10.
Casinos set these rates because some games have lower house edges than others. Without contribution rules, players could clear bonuses on low-edge games with little expected cost, so those games are weighted down or excluded.
Typical contribution patterns
Rates differ between casinos and even between promotions at the same casino. These are general patterns, not Mostplay's rules.
| Game type | Common contribution pattern | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Most slots | High, often full | Higher house edge, hard to game |
| Some low-edge or high-RTP slots | Sometimes reduced or excluded | Lower cost to the player |
| Table games such as blackjack | Often low or excluded | Low house edge with good play |
| Live casino | Often low or excluded | Similar reasons to table games |
| Fishing and arcade games | Varies widely | Depends on the casino's policy |
| Sports bets | Separate rules, often with minimum odds | Different product entirely |
A worked example in Taka
Suppose a bonus requires ৳10,000 of wagering. This is an illustration, not an offer. On a slot that contributes 100%, you need to stake ৳10,000. On a game that contributes 20%, you need to stake ৳50,000 to achieve the same ৳10,000 of counted wagering. On a game that contributes 0%, you can stake forever and make no progress.
That is why a small line in the terms matters so much. Before playing with bonus money, check which games you enjoy and how much they count. Our wagering requirements guide explains the base requirement itself.
Other rules that travel with contribution
Contribution rules rarely come alone. Bonus terms often include a maximum bet while a bonus is active, a time limit to complete wagering and a list of excluded games. Breaking the maximum bet rule, even once, can void a bonus in some casinos.
Some promotions also treat bonus funds and your own deposit differently, using one before the other. Our bonus money vs real money article explains how that order can affect withdrawals.
- Contribution percentage per game type
- Excluded games list
- Maximum bet while the bonus is active
- Time limit for completing wagering
- Whether real money or bonus money is used first
Checking Mostplay's rules
We could not confirm Mostplay's wagering or game contribution rules; they are not visible without logging in and may differ by promotion. Open the terms of the specific promotion on Mostplay's promotions page before you play. If the contribution table is not clear, ask the brand's support before claiming.
If your favourite games count for little or nothing, it can be sensible to skip the bonus and play with real money only. There is no rule that says you must take an offer. Our bonuses hub explains the main offer types.
In three steps
How to check game contribution in 3 steps
- 1Find the contribution table
Open the promotion's terms on Mostplay and look for the section on how games count.
- 2Match it to your games
Note the contribution rate for the games you actually play and any excluded titles.
- 3Do the sum
Divide the wagering requirement by the contribution rate to see the real amount you would need to stake.
