Telegram has become the town square for casino news in South Asia. Brands post promotions and new addresses, fans swap screenshots, and tipsters shout about the next match. It is also a playground for impersonators, because copying a channel name and logo takes about a minute. So how do you know which casino Telegram channel is the real one? Here is a practical method, with Mostplay's official channel as the worked example, and the warning signs that should make you leave a chat immediately.
Why brands use Telegram, and why fakes follow
The short answer: Telegram is fast, free and reaches people even when a website address changes. That makes it ideal for announcing a new address or a festival promotion. For example, we saw Mostplay's JILI 7th-anniversary event, running from 2 to 30 November 2026 with a Fortune Garuda 500 jackpot, on the brand's official channel.
The same features help scammers. Anyone can create a channel with a similar name, copy the logo and repost the brand's own messages to look genuine. Then they add their own touch: a fake agent number, a private deposit wallet or a paid tips group.
Start from the brand's own site
The most reliable way to find a real channel is to follow the link from the brand's own site, not from a search or a forwarded message. When we checked, the Mostplay channel t.me/mostplaybangladeshoffficial was linked from 6mostplay.com, one of the brand's working addresses.
That gives you a chain of trust: a known address links to the channel, and the channel links back to addresses such as mostplayvip.com. If a channel claims to be official but no brand site links to it, treat it as unverified.
| Check | Real channel sign | Fake channel sign |
|---|---|---|
| Where you found it | Linked from the brand's site | Forwarded in a group or DM |
| Username spelling | Matches the link on the brand site exactly | One letter different or extra characters |
| Who messages you | Channel posts only; no DMs from the channel | Admins or agents DM you first |
| Money requests | Points you to the official cashier | Asks you to send to a personal number |
| Tone | Announcements and terms links | Pressure, countdowns, sure wins |
The spelling game
Look carefully at usernames. The official Mostplay username has a slightly unusual spelling, with a doubled f in the last word. Impersonators exploit exactly this kind of detail by registering near-identical names, swapping letters, adding underscores or using similar-looking characters.
Do not rely on the channel's display name or photo, which anyone can set. The username in the t.me link is what counts. Copy it from the brand site and compare character by character, the way you would check a run-out frame by frame.
Fake agents and the DM problem
One of the most common tricks is the friendly agent who appears in your messages after you join a channel or comment in a group. They offer a special bonus, a faster withdrawal or help with your account. Then they ask for your login details, an OTP or a deposit to their own number.
A real casino handles accounts and money through its own site and app. No genuine agent needs your password or OTP. If someone asks, block and report them. Our is Mostplay legit article lists more red flags.
Tip channels and fixed-match claims
During the BPL, IPL and World Cups, tip channels multiply. Many charge a fee for VIP predictions or claim insider knowledge of fixed matches. They profit whether the tips win or not, and fixed-match claims are a classic scam.
If you want to understand matches better, read about the markets yourself. Our cricket betting tips page is about research habits rather than picks, and the match-day budget guide helps you set limits before any tip reaches you.
In three steps
How to verify a casino Telegram channel in 3 steps
- 1Find the link on the brand site
Open a known brand address and use the Telegram link shown there, rather than one from a chat.
- 2Compare the username
Check the t.me username character by character against the brand's link.
- 3Ignore DMs and private wallets
Do not respond to agents who message you first, and never send money outside the official cashier.
